The first phase of the Sergipano Serie A-2 is beginning to take shape after two of its five rounds. The 12 teams are split into two groups of six, with each side playing the others in its group once. The top two from each group will advance to the semifinals.

The second round brought several high-scoring results: Flamengo-SE beat Socorrense 3-2, Canindé and Olímpico drew 3-3, and Carmópolis defeated América de Pedrinhas 8-0. After two losses and 14 goals conceded, América asked to withdraw from the competition. Socorrense, Flamengo-SE and Olímpico have yet to play the club and are due to receive 3-0 walkover wins.
