Botafogo host Atlético-MG at Nilton Santos on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. Brasília time in the 34th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. The match will be broadcast live on TV Globo and Premiere, with ge providing real-time coverage.

Botafogo come into the game after a 2-1 defeat to Remo in Belém. They have 39 points, two more than Grêmio, who sit just inside the relegation zone. Coach Tite has recorded one win, one draw and four defeats in his six matches in charge. The club has reduced ticket prices for the match.

Atlético-MG are looking to end a run of four consecutive defeats, against Montevideo City Torque, Flamengo, Cruzeiro and Grêmio. Coach Eduardo Domínguez is expected to rotate the squad, with the regular starters remaining in Belo Horizonte ahead of that match.

Tiquinho Soares and Montoro are tipped to return to Botafogo’s starting lineup. Júnior Santos is unlikely to feature because Botafogo have not informed Atlético-MG that they would pay the fee required to use the player, who belongs to the visiting club. Danilo is also expected to miss out after staying behind for the trip to Belém with pain in his right thigh adductor.

Botafogo’s probable lineup is Gabriel Batista; Vitinho, Ferraresi, Lucas Monzón or Marçal, Alex Telles; Huguinho, Edenílson or Medina, Montoro; Ziyech, Matheus Martins and Tiquinho Soares. Jordan Barrera, Arthur Chaves and Kaio Pantaleão are listed as unavailable.

Atlético-MG may use a back three, with a defender potentially covering at right-back. Preciado is expected to operate as a wing-back alongside Cauã Soares, the only recognised centre-forward available. Goalkeeper Everson, who has recovered from a fracture in his left foot, could also feature after being named on the bench for the game against Grêmio.

The visitors’ probable lineup is Everson or Delfim; Léo Duarte, Vitão, Vitor Hugo and Pascini; Pérez, Cissé, Alexsander and Scarpa; Preciado and Cauã Soares. Fred, Cassierra, Victor Hugo, Thiago Borbas and Reinier are listed as injured.
