Fluminense have signed 16-year-old forward Nicolas for their under-17 team. He previously spent time in the youth systems of Flamengo and Botafogo and most recently played for Nova Iguaçu. His contract with Fluminense runs through January 2028.
The signing is part of the club’s efforts to strengthen the squad ahead of the under-17 Copa do Brasil. Fluminense also qualified for the state championship final and the Copa Rio. The Brazilian under-17 league completes the team’s competition schedule; Fluminense have won that title twice, more than any other club, according to the source.
Nicolas arrives after playing above his age group this season. He was the leading scorer in the 2025 Copa Rio under-15 tournament and scored eight goals in 15 matches as Nova Iguaçu reached the quarter-finals of the under-17 Carioca championship. He also scored twice in three appearances at the under-16 Guilherme Embry Tournament.
