Avaí and Kactus Capital have reaffirmed their commitment to the club’s proposed SAF project, regardless of whether Avaí is relegated to Brazil’s Série C. President Bernardo Pessi spoke at a press conference, while the investment company restated its position in a statement to ge.

Pessi said Kactus’s financial contributions had been important, while acknowledging that some supporters may feel they have not been enough. He said the SAF process was ongoing and that the club intended to proceed carefully rather than sign an agreement under pressure.

According to Pessi, the due diligence phase was completed within its 60-day contractual period. Since September, the parties have been working on the remaining agreements needed to establish the SAF, followed by steps involving the transfer of contracts with the Brazilian Football Confederation and formalities with the Commercial Registry. He said draft contracts were nearing signature, but did not give a firm completion date. Both sides, he added, hope to conclude the process by the end of the year.

Kactus said negotiations were advancing through the legal, financial and institutional formalities. The company described its plans as extending beyond an investment transaction, with goals that include reorganizing the club, improving financial sustainability and strengthening its sporting position.

The company confirmed it had already made initial contributions, totaling more than R$5 million, and said it was preparing further investments. It also cited a commitment to a wage bill sufficient to maintain a competitive squad.
