Serra Branca are in the final days of preparation for the 2026 Copa Paraíba, with coach Waguinho Dias saying he is satisfied with the squad ahead of their opening match against Atlético-PB. The game is scheduled for Sunday at 4 p.m. at Estádio Amigão in Campina Grande.
The team played its final warm-up match last Friday, beating Treze’s under-20 side 10-0. The players then received two days off before returning to training on Monday at the Erasmo Alves Ribeiro training center.
Dias said all players received equal playing time and met the team’s physical expectations. He also highlighted their individual performances and on-field behavior, adding that Serra Branca had finished pre-season well and that he was pleased with the squad assembled.
The group has been renewed, while retaining several players from this season, including defender Jadson, midfielder Dione and forward Orlando Jr. Serra Branca have five more training sessions scheduled before their opener.
The Copa Paraíba returns to the state calendar after a 14-year absence. The tournament winner will earn a place in the 2027 Copa do Brasil. Serra Branca are also due to compete in the Campeonato Paraibano and Brazil’s Série D next season.
