Votuporanguense have announced the return of midfielder Jonatas Paulista for the 2027 season. The 32-year-old previously played for the club in 2024, when the team finished as runners-up in the Copa Paulista.

During that campaign, Jonatas appeared in 14 of Votuporanguense’s 16 matches in the competition. His return makes him the second player confirmed for the club’s 2027 squad, following the announcement that forward Fernandinho would also return. Coach Marcus Viola has been confirmed to remain in charge for another Série A2 Paulista campaign.

Jonatas came through Vasco’s youth system and represented Brazil at under-15 and under-17 level between 2009 and 2011. He joined Vasco’s senior squad in 2012 and was part of the group that won the 2015 Campeonato Carioca.

His career has also included spells with Boavista-RJ, Noroeste and Portuguesa. This year, he made three appearances for Uberlândia and 13 for Marcílio Dias.
