Registration is now open for the 8th Ufopa Race, an event aimed at the academic community and road-running enthusiasts in western Pará. This year’s edition carries the theme “Bem-Viver em Movimento.”
The race will take place on December 8, 2026, starting at 6:30 a.m. The event is organized by Ufopa’s Directorate of Culture and Community, linked to the university’s Pro-Rectorate for Culture, Community and Extension. It is part of the Bem-Viver macroprogram under the Federal University of Western Pará’s 2026–2030 management plan.
The gathering and start will be held at the Tapajós Unit, on Ufopa’s Santarém campus. Sports activities and the awards program are expected to conclude by 11 a.m.
Interested runners can register online through Crono Santarém at www.cronosantarem.com.br/evento/3688/corrida-da-ufopa. Organizers recommend registering in advance, as demand for places is usually high and early registration helps secure the race kit and a position on the starting grid.
