Santos forward Neymar congratulated Lewis Hamilton on reaching 400 Formula 1 Grands Prix, a milestone the seven-time world champion is set to mark at the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos in São Paulo on Sunday, November 8.
In a message published on Ferrari’s social media, Neymar said he would be at the circuit to watch and cheer for Hamilton. He also highlighted the driver’s connection with Brazil, where Hamilton is an honorary citizen, and said he was pleased the milestone would come in the country.
“Congratulations on reaching 400 starts,” Neymar said. He added that he and his family and friends admired Hamilton, and closed by expressing his affection for the driver.
Hamilton will also have the chance to match Michael Schumacher’s record of four victories at Interlagos if he wins Sunday’s race.
