Mirassol coach Rafael Guanaes is expected to make changes to his lineup for Tuesday’s meeting with Chapecoense at Arena Condá in the 34th round of the Brasileirão. The team has two absences in attack and may also alter its midfield setup.
Bruno Santos was sent off in the first half of Friday’s defeat by Corinthians, while Edson Carioca will miss the match after receiving his third yellow card. André Luis is the natural replacement at centre-forward after scoring twice in his last four appearances.
The wider attacking position remains open. Carlos Eduardo is considered the favourite to start, with Fernandinho also an option. Fernandinho generally plays on the left, the position currently occupied by Alesson, while Gustavo Mosquito is another candidate.
Guanaes could also restore Denilson to midfield. Against Corinthians, the coach started Wallisson to strengthen the team’s defensive coverage. Against Chapecoense, who are not expected to apply the same pressure, Denilson may return because of his greater attacking presence.
Mirassol’s expected lineup is: Walter; Igor Formiga, João Victor, Willian Machado and Reinaldo; Neto Moura, Denilson and Eduardo; Alesson, Carlos Eduardo or Fernandinho, and André Luis.
Mirassol are 16th with 37 points, one ahead of Corinthians, who occupy the first relegation place. Chapecoense are bottom with 21 points and could have their relegation confirmed during this round.
