Mike Tyson is set to visit Brazil this month for the first time in 15 years. São Paulo’s city government will present him with a plaque marking 40 years since he won his first World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight title, according to the event details provided.

Tyson defeated Trevor Berbick by technical knockout in Las Vegas on November 22, 1986, when he was 20. The victory made him the youngest boxer to win a world heavyweight title, the report says. The ceremony is scheduled for November 21 during the Kings Championship, an MMA and boxing event at the Mauro Pinheiro Sports Gym in São Paulo’s Ibirapuera sports complex.

Tyson is also expected to appear in the ring with his trainer, Brazilian Rafael Cordeiro, and boxer Acelino “Popó” Freitas. The three are set to announce a joint project in front of an audience that is expected to include former UFC champions Fabrício Werdum, Mauricio Shogun and Cris Cyborg, as well as former Pride star Wanderlei Silva.

Tyson will take part in a Kings Championship press conference on November 20. On November 22, he is scheduled to visit the Brazilian Boxing Confederation’s training center and meet children from a social program. He is also due to promote his cannabis-derived products brand at a trade fair in São Paulo.

The Kings Championship card is slated to feature eight MMA bouts and two boxing matches. The main MMA event will see Jonathan Machado face Vitor Costa for the middleweight title. The boxing program includes Brazil-versus-Argentina matchups between Viviane Pereira and Lorena Soledad Balbuena at 70kg, and Isaías “Samurai” Filho and Matías Agustín Verón at 90kg.
