The Grêmio fanbase organized a massive celebration to welcome the team ahead of Sunday's first-leg Copa do Brasil semifinal against Atlético-MG at the Arena. However, the enthusiastic reception was not communicated to Carol Portaluppi, the daughter of head coach Renato Gaúcho, who attended the match at the club's home ground.

Portaluppi shared images on Instagram documenting her arrival by car alongside Grêmio staff. As the vehicle approached the stadium, it was surrounded by a large crowd of supporters who began banging on the windows and shaking the car from side to side. Appearing startled during the incident, Portaluppi was heard using strong language while club employees attempted to ask the fans to stop.

Once the crowd cleared a path for the vehicle, Portaluppi laughed off the situation. Later in the day, she accompanied her father to the post-match press conference following Grêmio's 2-0 victory, which secured an advantage in their bid to reach the Copa do Brasil final. Renato joked that his daughter's presence was a financial loss, citing expenses for flights, hotels, and food, but noted she brought good luck.

Renato remarked that while her visit involved costs, she proved to be lucky, contrasting the potential outcome of a loss with the current victory. He emphasized that despite the expenses, having family support is always positive.
