Flamengo successfully concluded its inaugural 'Lance Histórico' charity auction last Friday at the Maracanã stadium, gathering approximately 500 guests. The event raised a total of R$ 1.7 million to finance the creation of commemorative busts for players Arrascaeta and Bruno Henrique. As part of the initiative, 21 fans were selected to have their names permanently engraved on the sculptures, which are currently in production and set to be unveiled at the club's Gávea headquarters on November 15.

The auction featured a top bid of R$ 400,000, granting the winner the right to have their name displayed on both busts. The remaining 20 highest bids were distributed between the two players based on numerical order: even-numbered positions (2 through 20) were assigned to Arrascaeta's sculpture, while odd-numbered positions (3 through 21) went to Bruno Henrique's. Among the winners was Arthur Capella, a 56-year-old cybersecurity executive and long-time supporter of the club's 'Fla-Anjo' project since 2013. Capella secured the 16th highest bid, placing his name on Arrascaeta's bust.

Capella described the bidding process as an emotional experience influenced by the presence of friends and players at the event. He noted that while he initially planned to bid only a quarter of his final amount, the atmosphere led him to increase his offer significantly. The fan expressed pride in having his name associated with players who have quickly integrated into the club's spirit, joking that after meeting Zico years ago, this achievement feels like pure profit.

Beyond the busts, the auction offered various exclusive items and experiences for participants. These included a private dinner with legend Zico, a football match at the Ninho do Urubu facility for the winner and 35 guests complete with barbecue, and access to watch a Flamengo match from the Maracanã Presidential Lounge. Other lots featured game-worn and signed jerseys from Arrascaeta and Bruno Henrique, as well as a limited edition Hublot watch commemorating the club's 1981 World Championship victory.

The proceeds also support broader social initiatives within the club. Funds will assist former athletes facing financial difficulties, identified with the help of 'Fla Legends' led by Andrade. Additionally, contributions will go toward the 'Jogaremos Juntos' social responsibility project in eight Rio de Janeiro communities and the construction of a new mini-stadium at Ninho do Urubu. The facility is expected to hold 4,000 spectators and host youth category matches as well as women's football games.

The event was organized by 'Nação Legado,' a platform dedicated to honoring club history and investing in future generations. Several current squad members attended the gala, including goalkeepers Rossi and Andrew, defenders Varela and Alex Sandro, and forward Freitas. The players posed for photos with the auction winners, celebrating the successful fundraising effort.
