The New England Patriots defeated the Miami Dolphins 24-19 on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, marking the fifth win of the season for the visitors. The Dolphins, led by head coach Jeff Hafley, suffered their sixth loss of the year after failing to maintain a commanding lead established in the first half. Although Miami held a 13-3 advantage at halftime, the Patriots mounted a successful comeback in the second half to secure the victory.

Drake Maye was the central figure in the Patriots' offensive resurgence, contributing significantly both as a passer and a runner. In the third quarter, Maye connected with Kyle Williams for a touchdown that was initially disputed but confirmed following a coach's challenge. Later in the same period, Maye scored his own rushing touchdown from two yards out after faking out a defender, allowing kicker Andy Borregales to add the extra point and put New England ahead 17-13.

The game began with both teams trading field goals in the first quarter. Patriots kicker Andy Borregales opened the scoring with a 34-yard field goal, while Dolphins kicker Zane Gonzalez tied the game shortly after. In the second quarter, Gonzalez extended Miami's lead with a 52-yard field goal. The Dolphins then took control when quarterback Malik Willis found Malik Washington for a touchdown reception, ending the first half with a 13-3 score.

The momentum shifted decisively in the fourth quarter following an interception of a Malik Willis pass by the Patriots' defense. Maye capitalized on this turnover by throwing a long touchdown pass to DeMario Douglas, who broke free from coverage to extend New England's lead to 24-13. Although the Dolphins managed to score a late touchdown through Kevin Coleman to narrow the gap to 24-19, they were unable to complete the comeback.

Looking ahead, the New England Patriots are scheduled to face the Green Bay Packers next week, while the Miami Dolphins will play against the Detroit Lions.
