With the conclusion of the 2026 season approaching, Chapecoense has initiated planning for the upcoming campaign by analyzing player contracts. The club aims to organize its squad by focusing on athletes with ties extending through 2027 or beyond. Given the probable participation in the Série B next year, the team intends to reduce operational costs, which could lead to the departure of players whose agreements end this December unless renewals are finalized.
A total of 17 players currently hold contracts valid for the next season, while the remainder face definitive contract expirations or loan returns at the end of the Brasileirão. The goalkeeping roster includes Anderson, Matheus Aurélio, Rafael Santos, and Gabriel Werner, with expiration dates ranging from late 2026 to March 2027.
In defense, the club retains several key figures. Center-backs Eduardo Doma, João Paulo, Victor Caetano, Kauan Faria, Rafael Thyere, and Vinicius Eduardo are among those staying, with contracts expiring between December 2026 and December 2027. The fullback positions feature Mancha, Fernando, Bruno Pacheco, Da Silva, Heitor, Everton, and Bruno Tubarão, alongside Dudu, who is on loan from Guarani but holds a contract until the end of 2026.
The midfield sees Carvalheira, Vinicius Balieiro, Rosivan, Erick Crispim, Yago Felipe, Bruno Mathias, David Antunes, Miguel Carvalho, and Giovanni Augusto remaining. Camilo and Robert are included in the list despite being on loan from Grêmio and Atlético Mineiro respectively, as their contracts with Chapecoense extend to December 2026.
The attacking line includes Italo Vargas, Dylan Borrero, Maurício Garcez, Kevin Ramírez, Maílson, Marcinho, Rubens, Jonathan Palacios, Tulio Eduardo, Franco Rossi, Perotti, and Yannick Bolasie. Several forwards are currently on loan to clubs such as Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, Figueirense, Cascavel, Toluca, and Sport, yet maintain contracts with the Brazilian side through late 2026 or into 2027.
