Alisson underwent a procedure on Saturday to treat a chronic hip problem that has kept him from playing. Fluminense allowed the midfielder to travel to São Paulo during his time off for the conservative treatment, which used hyaluronic acid to help ease the pain.

The same treatment was used when Alisson was at São Paulo last year. Surgery was considered as an option for his recovery, but the player, Fluminense and São Paulo, which owns his rights, opted to continue with a non-surgical approach. Alisson is back in Rio de Janeiro and has started a new transition phase at Fluminense.

He is expected to become available again after the FIFA break, which is scheduled to begin next week and last ten days. Although he has seen limited action this season, Alisson could offer another option in midfield: Fluminense coach Marcão has Hércules, Nonato and Otávio available for the position, and has also included young player Ruan Sales in some squads.

Alisson is on loan at Fluminense until the end of the year, and his future remains uncertain. He has made 11 appearances for the club and recorded one assist. His most recent squad selection was on August 1.
